On November 19, the day GTA 6 launches, Rockstar will add a free printable cover art poster and a map of Leonida to the game's official site. Shortly after launch, a double-sided physical version will hit the Rockstar Store for $0.99, or come free with any purchase there. Rockstar announced the plan on the Newswire.
You can print the map yourself or pay a dollar for a real one
The first option is the digital download: grab the poster and map from the official GTA 6 site on November 19 and print them at home or at a print shop. It costs nothing.
The second is the physical double-sided poster from the Rockstar Store. Rockstar only says it will arrive "shortly after launch" and gives no exact date. It's $0.99 on its own and a free gift with any order. The studio doesn't spell out what goes on each side, but it's the same cover art poster and Leonida map.
The paper map makes a comeback even though there's no disc in the box
As GameSpot points out, older GTA games shipped with a fold-out poster featuring the cover art and the city map. GTA 6 won't get that insert, because the retail version is code-in-box, a download code instead of a disc. Rockstar says those PS5 and Xbox Series X|S boxes should be in stores starting November 12.
So the 99-cent poster is basically the classic box extra sold on its own. Anyone who had the Vice City or San Andreas map on their wall will get the appeal. Until the files go live, our GTA 6 map breakdown covers what we know about the state's regions.
The same post confirms when pre-loading starts
Digital pre-loading on PS5 begins November 10 at midnight local time. On Xbox Series X|S it starts globally on November 10 at 12 a.m. GMT. The download needs up to 212 GB depending on your console, so it's worth clearing space now. More on that in our GTA 6 file size page.
