Benjamin McDaniel, the aviator known as The Pilot Picasso, flew a route over Arkansas on November 5–6 that traces a huge GTA 6 tribute on the map. The flight lasted more than eight hours and was tracked live on FlightRadar24, IGN reports.
The flight path mirrors the GTA 6 cover art
According to Destructoid, the track spells out the full game title surrounded by a helicopter, palm trees, an alligator, a sports car and a figure in sunglasses holding a gun. Beebom adds that the layout follows the official GTA 6 cover, with the figure being a woman in a bikini holding a pistol.
Nothing is actually drawn in the sky. The artwork exists only as one continuous line on the tracking map, plotted by coordinates in advance and followed in the air using onboard navigation.
He flew a 1978 Cessna and spent the whole day at the controls
McDaniel took off from Bentonville Municipal Airport in a 1978 Cessna 182 Skylane RG. Destructoid describes him as a 28-year-old commercial pilot and content creator whose earlier flight-path pieces include Spider-Man, The Odyssey and the Mona Lisa.
He shared the result in an Instagram reel with the caption "I've been waiting 11 years for this moment." FlightRadar24 also posted the track on X.
Rockstar had no part in the project
This is a fan project, and there is no word of any involvement or reaction from Rockstar. The timing is clear, though: GTA 6 launches on November 19, and our GTA 6 release date page has the details. Still picking a version? See the GTA 6 editions breakdown.
Two weeks out from launch, fans keep finding bigger ways to show the hype, and eight hours in a cockpit for a single drawing is hard to top.
