How to enter cheats in GTA 3
- PC. Type the code on your keyboard during play, without pausing and without pressing Enter. Case doesn't matter. A message confirms activation.
- PlayStation, Xbox, Switch. Quickly press the combo during play, without pausing. Arrows mean the D-pad. Most cheats turn off when you enter them again.
- Mobile (GTA III – Definitive). Tap the map, open Options → Accessibility → Enter Cheat Code and type the PC code. With a controller, the console combos work.
Important: the riot and pedestrian attack cheats can't be turned off, so don't save after using them. In versions with achievements (PS4, PS5, the Definitive Edition on PC and Xbox), cheats block achievements and trophies for the current save, so keep a separate "clean" save.

What changed in the Definitive Edition
Rockstar doesn't publish an official cheat list, so we rely on guides. Both sources agree on two points: the Definitive Edition added a "big heads" cheat (EXPANDDOME, a Konami-code-style combo) and removed "invisible cars".
Beyond that, the sources disagree. GTA BOOM says the Definitive Edition also lacks "more gore" (NASTYLIMBSCHEAT) and "time passes faster" (MADWEATHER); GTABase lists those codes without such a note. For "more gore", GTA BOOM also gives a different Xbox combo with LT/RT, apparently for the original Xbox, where triggers and bumpers are swapped. We marked these rows ⚠: check in the game.
For "random skin", GTABase adds one more up arrow at the end of the combo; GTA BOOM doesn't. The table shows the shorter version.
Older consoles: PS2, Xbox, Xbox 360
The PlayStation combos work on every version: PS2, the PS3 port, the PS4 re-release and the Definitive Edition on PS4/PS5. The Xbox column in the tables is for the Definitive Edition on Xbox One and Series X|S. On the original Xbox and Xbox 360 the buttons are different (triggers and bumpers are swapped there), so these combos may not work.
