GTA 6 costs $79.99: what every edition includes and where to buy it

GTA 6 is sold through PlayStation Store, Xbox Store, the Rockstar Store and retail. In the US the prices match Take-Two's suggested retail prices, and both console stores list the same numbers.

Prices were taken from the PlayStation Store and Xbox Store listings on October 31, 2026. The gap between editions is $20 / £20 / €20, and you do not have to pay it upfront: the Ultimate upgrade is sold separately and can be bought at any time. PlayStation Store does not show the upgrade price on the game's page.

Retail prices for the boxed code-in-box version have not been published officially, so check your store before ordering.

Here are the digital prices from the official PlayStation and Xbox stores in other markets. The Ultimate upgrade is listed in its own column because only Xbox Store shows it.

The Mexican PlayStation Store shows lower numbers, 1,292.24 and 1,619.83 MXN. That looks like the price before Mexico's 16% VAT, though the store does not say so, so go by the final total in your cart.

Standard Edition is the game itself. Buy it before November 20 and the pre-order bonus is added (see below).

Ultimate Edition is the game plus a bundle of extra content. Rockstar has woven it into the story: new items unlock with each chapter of Jason and Lucia's story. It includes:

• the '95 Grotti Cheetah sports car and the Shitzu Squalo speedboat;
• the Hawk & Little Morgan revolvers and the heroes' signature pistols, Jason's Girardi ES9 and Lucia's Klose K17;
• Vice City Style clothing, hairstyles and tattoos;
• vehicles for Jason's safehouse: a Dinka Enduro motorcycle and a Crest kayak;
• the Ganado Retro Build, the '67 Vapid Dominator Buggy and the Paradise Garage in Watson Bay;
• Goodtime Gear clothing and the PTT Youngin$ gang compound;
• the Classic Car Collection, a set of jobs from the fixer Wyman;
• businesses open only to Ultimate owners: Rideout Customs and One-Eyed Willie's for vehicle mods, Sara's Unisex Salon, the Stock 305 clothing store and Electric Fang Tattoo (more than 50 tattoos by the FAILE collective).

Everyone who buys GTA 6 before November 20, 2026, digital or boxed, Standard or Ultimate, gets the Vintage Vice City Pack:

• the '55 Vapid Stanier sedan and a garage;
• '80s-style outfits and hairstyles for Jason and Lucia;
• an exclusive weapon pattern.

Digital pre-orders also come with one month of GTA+. On PlayStation Store the offer covers purchases made by November 19, and it has to be redeemed by March 31, 2027. On Xbox it covers purchases made by November 19, 11:59:59 PM, and has to be redeemed within 180 days. After the free month the subscription renews automatically, so turn off auto-renewal if you don't want it. The Ultimate upgrade does not come with the free month.

There is no disc. The boxed Standard Edition is "code in box": inside you get a download code. Ultimate is not sold boxed at all. Boxed copies go on sale on November 12, in time for pre-loading.

PlayStation codes are locked to your account's region. North America, the UK, Brazil and Latin America each have their own group, while Germany, Poland, Turkey, Ukraine and other countries share one called "Rest of EMEA and Asia". A code bought for a UK store will not work on a US account, and the other way round. Xbox codes have no region lock.

The Goodtime State – Vice City Collection is a merch box without the game. According to the press, it costs $399.99 / €399.99 / £349.99 on the Rockstar Store, in a limited run that ships on November 19.
